Design a study you would use to address the following research question What is the impact of pregnant mothers listening to classical music during pregnancy on the childs subsequent intelligence? Does listening to classical music during gestation have an impact on a babys intelligence? You could implement a correlational study or an experimental study. Identify the type of study you would use and why. Describe the study and the participants. Be specific. If using a correlational study, identify the variables and how outcomes would reflect a positive and a negative correlation. If using an experimental study, identify the independent & dependent variables as well as the control group and experimental (treatment) group. Each plays a specific role and function in a specific pathway and has a major effect on behavior. First, define and describe the role/purpose of neurotransmitters. Serotonin is one of the six identified in your textbook and is widely studied. Using sources other than your textbook, provide an overview of serotonin. In your response, discuss how it impacts functioning and what areas of functioning are impacted. Also, identify specific physical or psychological problems associated with an imbalance in serotonin and ways to counteract the imbalance and a persons condition. Be specific.
