This lesson must be created for the purpose of teaching a content-area topic (math, science, social studies/history, or English language arts/reading) in English, to English learners.
This lesson must be your own creation. Do not use or adapt a lesson from a website or any other source. Do not submit a lesson plan that you already submitted in another University of Phoenix class. Do not submit a lesson plan in a different format from what is required.
Write the lesson for one class period. Do not write a multi-day lesson plan.

An Arizona content area academic standard you will address in your lesson (refer to the Arizona K12 Standards)
The Arizona English Language Proficiency (ELP) Standard(s) you will address in your lesson (refer to the Arizona ELP Standards)
A measurable content objective and language objective for your lesson. For assistance with writing measurable content and language objectives, refer to the examples at this link:
Writing Language Objectives (scroll down to the section titled “Writing Language Objectives.” In the tables provided, you will see examples of measurable content and language objectives.
Keep in mind that an objective is a one-sentence statement of what the students will be able to do at the end of the lesson. The verb in an objective must be measurable–no vague verbs such as “understand” or “know.”
Refer to page one of this site for a list of measurable verbs. Refer to page eight of the same site for verbs to avoid.
Fill in the remainder of the above file to create a draft of the main sequence of your lesson plan. Do not leave any parts of the template blank.
