Essays must be at between 2.5 and 3.0 pages in length. Short essays will be penalized. In fairness to others, I cannot read material beyond the 3-page maximum.

Essays should be free of grammatical and spelling errors.

Essays must be printed in Times Roman or Times New Roman font (12 point), double-spaced, and use one-inch margins top, bottom, and sides.

Do not quote any texts other than those assigned for the course.

Citations should use the following format: (Odyssey, p. 75) or (Antigone, p. 16). If you use a version of a cited text other than the one assigned for the course, you should use this format but provide all bibliographical information on a separate bibliography page.

Quotations of more than three lines must be indented and single-spaced.
