Essay Topic
Analyze five examples of creative expression that address the same subject/theme. These examples must include one from the visual arts (painting, sculpture, architecture and/or printed images) one from film, one from drama, one from musical theatre and also from literature.
The essay should clearly identify the subject/theme addressed by these five different examples and then explain how each example uniquely communicates and/or portrays this theme/subject through this medium.

Examples
Example One: One subject that appears across time and cultures addresses in the creative arts is the beauty and spirituality of nature. If I were to write this essay focused on a theme focused on nature, I would need to discuss one play that addresses nature, one film that addresses nature and a painting, sculpture, printed image or architectural structure that addresses the theme of nature. I would ALSO need to discussion TWO additional examples from the arts studied in this course that portray nature.
Example Two: Another subject that has been extensively considered in the arts is the horror of World War II. If I were to write this essay focused on World War II, I would need to discuss one play that addressed World War II, one film that addressed World War II and a painting, sculpture, printed image or architectural structure that addressed the theme of World War II. I would ALSO need to discussion TWO additional examples from the arts studied in this course that portrayed World War II.
Requirements
Write an analytic essay clearly identifying and explaining the subject/theme addressed and include at least five specific creative works. The essay should be 800-1000 words long.
To receive full points, the essay must include one example from the visual arts, one example from film, one example from drama and two other examples of creative arts studied in this course.
Criteria:
Subject Development: You must explain the theme/subject you chose to discuss in all its complexity and integrate discipline-specific terms and language in an essay with a strong introduction and conclusion.
Examples from five different media: You must identify a specific creative work that reflects the theme/subject identify its creator and integrate key terms as you explain how this work specifically reflects the subject.
