Some information regarding my application essay I am a single mother and have worked on my nursing school pre reqs slowly while working a demanding job and after a rough few years after learning I had hypothyroidism dealing with the complications and working hard to get healthy make lifestyle changes and finally getting on the right dosage of medication I am ready to back to school full time. I work in a hospital as a unit clerk but have 7 years of patient care technician experience I have worked with graduates NYU nursing program and not only do they speak highly of the program they are exceptional nurses. I come from a family of nurses but I finally realize how much I love to take care of patients and would like to complete my degree in nursing and become a nurse practitioner. I worked through the pandemic tirelessly and know the commitment it takes to care for patients in good times and bad and this pandemic has strengthened my passion in nursing. I would like to transfer to NYU because the program is highly recommended and NYU ranks high in best nursing schools. I hope to finally complete my dream to become a nurse and learn and grow as a nurse in the NYU nursing program.
