The purpose of this assignment is to report on an environment and health issue in detail. You will write a general risk assessment which assesses the state of evidence on the link between an environmental exposure and a health outcome. The focus of your search is scientific evidence linking the exposure and outcome. Critically appraise the evidence in each article you read. Focus on finding peer reviewed empirical research – i.e., journal articles and books. Government reports are acceptable as well. Websites typically are not peer reviewed. Your assignment will be graded based upon quality and thoroughness of how you assessed the exposure and linked it to the potential health outcome.
