Writing a thesis statement can be a challenge. Think about the theme you have chosen and the illustrations you selected. What conclusions can you draw about how people felt about your topic at the time the images were created? What perspectives are not represented in your chosen images?
Remember to fully introduce the theme and topic you have chosen to write about. How do your chosen illustrations describe and/or interpret your chosen topic? How did nineteenth-century society view your chosen topic and illustrations? What conclusions can we draw?
