Methodology discussion for paper

This section discusses the methodology used for your systematic search. This is the process that you followed in order to identify the evidence base to help you answer your review question. The material included should enable the reader to understand the different stages in your search and have confidence that you have identified all relevant evidence rather than just cherry picking your evidence. You will need to include discussion of the framework used to develop your question (PEO/PICO), key concepts identified in the question and related search strings, the inclusion and exclusion criteria and the data bases searched. State where you searched for a systematic review and guideline and whether or not you were able to find one. Refer to hand searching and any other approaches you took to identifying your evidence base. You must include a table of your searches and explain how you arrived at the final selection of papers. You may choose to include a PRSIMA flow diagram. Critiquing the evidence base is an essential part of the systematic review process. The critiques themselves do not need to be included in the dissertation however you must include a table to show which critiquing tool you used for each piece of evidence included. The papers need to be presented in alphabetical order. The completed matrices of evidence come at the end of this first part.
