Once you have selected a disorder, you will write a 2-3 page paper that (1) describes the symptoms of the disorder, (2) the brain areas and neurotransmitters associated with the disorder, (3) the role of genetics and environmental factors in the development of the disorder, and (4) possible treatments.
You will need to include a minimum of three separate sources, one of which can be our class textbook. The two remaining sources will need to be academic journal articles or books. All sources will need to be formatted in APA format. Your paper should be double-spaced in 12-point, Times New Roman font.
This paper is worth 100 points. The majority of your points will come from adequately and accurately providing details on the four components listed above (75 points). However, 10 points will come from your references (meeting the minimum three sources, having academic sources, formatting in APA format), 10 points will come from having adequate punctuation, grammar, and general writing style, and 5 points will come from having the correct formatting for the paper (12-point, Times New Roman font, double-spaced).
