Think about the traditional roles women have been placed in and how the role of peacemaking is a role that is embraced as well as forced upon them because of violent confrontations. Consider how women balance traditional general ideals with reality. Examine the influence UN Resolution 1325 had on elevating womens status as peacemakers. How is gender used to exploit these differences? What is the outcome of the peacemaking process when women are brought into negotiations and discussions?
