There are 3 questions and each response should be 1 page long.
Why do you plan to pursue graduate studies in Financial Engineering?
Here I have couple of thoughts. First and obvious job security. Quantitative jobs will not become obsolete in the nearest future. Second, mathematics in finance is something I enjoy studying. I suppose you may include a short story how I made risky investments in 2016. These investments paid-off and saved me and my family from hunger. This was the first time I realized that this is something I want to study in the future.
What motivates you to apply to the Baruch MFE program?
I have got nothing for this one. I suppose Baruch MFE is the most prestige programs in the country with a low acceptance rate. Highly competitive. I am currently studying at Baruch and doing my undergraduate there. I have met great professors and students whom I became friends with. They taught me be resilient and taught me work ethics.
What are your career goals upon graduation?
Get a job in a quantitative hedge in risk management or research. After obtaining some experience working there, I would want to conduct my own research on how can I utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve quantitative problems in finance.
