Students will be required to conduct research on a criminal justice related topic. Choose from the topics listed below. The research paper should identify a specific problem, identify possible causes, and discuss possible solution(s) using appropriately referenced scholarly sources. Students will then write and submit a 3 to 4-page academic paper (this does not include coversheet, abstract or reference page) on their topic. The student must use a minimum of two (2) scholarly references (peer reviewed) including the primary textbook. The paper must strictly follow the format provided in the assignment, cover all aspects/sections listed, adhere to proper grammar, word usage and sentence structure principles, provide clear and cohesive articulation of the relevant principles and concepts, include critical analysis and objective conclusions, and follow APA style format.
