I would like to welcome each of you to Ceradynes second facility opening in China. Many of you have traveled a great distance to be with us today and on behalf of all of Ceradyne, thank you.
In reflecting on this occasion, I am reminded of a simple four line prayer which is known today as the Prayer of Jabez and I would like to take a minute to explain how these simple verses relate to business and especially to todays events.
The first line of the prayer is Lord bless me.
We all desire to be blessed with good health and happiness for our families and prosperity for our businesses. I personally, and Ceradyne as a company, have been truly blessed with the opportunity to work with our suppliers, customers, and fellow employees in this market. I hope that you are equally blessed in your personal and professional endeavors.
The second line of the prayer is Expand My Territory.
Ceradynes corporate offices are located in Costa Mesa California and our crucible technology was developed in Atlanta Georgia at the Thermo Materials headquarters. We initiated production in China in June of 2007 and we are now very pleased to be opening Ceradyne Tianjin Advanced Materials hear in the Airport Economic Development Zone.
We have incorporated coating technology based on our sister company, ESK in Germany, and have suppliers who have helped in this expansion who are located in Mexico, Italy, the US and China. Furthermore, our customer base includes sales in multiple locations in the US, Europe, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and throughout China.
Again, we are honored that there are representatives from each of these global locations here today and I wish that each of you in attendance continues to have success in expanding your personal and professional territory.
The third line of the prayer is That your hand would be with me, which in this situation means that Ceradyne has had continual help from many organizations and individuals to bring this new expansion to completion.
First, the airport development zone officials have given us total support at every step of this project.
As well, CH2M Hill as the primary contractor and many equipment suppliers have worked side by side with James Griffin and the Ceradyne engineers to design and construct this wonderful facility.
Furthermore, Ceradyne employees at all levels in Atlanta and China have worked tirelessly to drive towards success in this market. Specifically in China, Dr. Shuhai Wang and Ms. Lu Ning have done an exceptional job leading their respective teams to ensure success.
Finally, we can do nothing without our customers allowing us the opportunity to supply our products. To everyone here today, thank you for your help and I sincerely hope that you have full support from your organizational partners to achieve your goals.
The final line of the prayer is That you would keep me from evil so that I do not hurt anyone.
