Which theory discussed in this lesson seems to be the most plausible or valid? The Social Learning Model

This model proposes that individuals learn criminal behavior, acts and deeds and acquire motivations to commit crime form those things and people around them. The SLT model acknowledges that there may be differences in individuals in their cognitive skills and recognize that some people are just wired differently from others. This model may seem simplistic and it does not suggest that one does not wake up one day and decide to molest children. Over the course of time, the individual becomes aware of an attraction to children. The individual may seek out others with a similar interest and subscribe to publications (or websites) with a focus on the sexual exploitation of children. the observations, past experiences, and subjective determination of the act itself leads them to begin to weigh the cost and benefit of approaching a child for sexual experimentation.
