Describe a day in the life/work, their plans for their next phase of life. 5. Interview people that are around the main subject. 6. Emotional intelligence and thought processes are shown without filter/editorializing. 7. Insight into the subject is always appropriate, no matter what part of the profile you’re on. Detailing perspectives, elaborating on how they view and do things. Can be derived from seeing patterns in the data about a subject. 8. 3-6 pages long. Double spaced, in a font like Times New Roman or Garamond. No Courier. Questions: Dos and Don’ts Past students have decided there should be a variety of open ended questions, not questions that can be answered with yes or no. Do respect boundaries and if you want to ask a deeper or more personal question, ask permission and say it’s ok to turn down the question. One of you asked about what questions you should ask. I think observation and taking notes about what you notice is a great place to start: habits, appearance, actions, way of speaking, vibe (don’t call it vibe lol, call it energy). Ask about job, typical day, near future plans, what they like about their life, what makes them dream or tick or feel deeply. What do they do with their spare time?
