Successful reports will include four paragraphs, two figures (location map and photograph of unit), and references.
Paragraph 1: Introduce the geologic setting. Describe the reservoir geology (age, rock type, porosity, permeability).
Paragraph 2: Describe the burial history and trap formation.
Paragraph 3: Describe the reservoir size and potential, with reference to current oil price (is it possible to extricate hydrocarbons safely and cost-effectively?)
Paragraph 4: Answer whether it is ethical to extract hydrocarbons based upon our knowledge that global climate change is directly linked to the burning of fossil fuels? Defend your statement with evidence.
