Please respond to the following Class Discussion
Discussion 1: Dr. Pam
Hi Nancy and everyone ~
Grant and Grant (2018) offered this profound statement: empathy is a foundation for creative thinking and the first essential step in the purpose-driven innovation process. It should also be the driving force behind transformational human-centric innovation (para. 14).
Class ~ How will these statements impact the way you approach your plans for doctoral research since you all are earning leadership degrees in your respective disciplines?

Discussion 2:
Hi, everyone ~
As doctoral students, you should strive for intellectual empathy. This requires quite a bit of self -reflection and analysis on your part. Paul and Elder (2012) posited that to develop intellectual empathy, you must analyze situations where you were proven wrong about your assumptions and inferences, when at the time you thought you were 100% correct and then, look at new situations and consider that you may again be incorrect. This requires intense recreation of previous perspectives and thought processes.
Class – thoughts about this? What active steps will you take to try to develop this trait?

Discusion 3:
Hi, all ~
With your doctoral research, you have a wonderful opportunity to experience outrospection. As Aleph (2014) posited “True empathy has the power of transforming the world, because it begins with an individual that dares to rebel against his own prejudices and his own notion of compassion, and when he is able to give that leap and really put himself in someone elses shoes, that leap has made the world change slightly, but perceptively” (para. 9).
Class – why is outrospection a rebellion?
