The effects of running barefoot vs. shod 100 yards

This project is supposed to be an ABSTRACT of the experiment “done” in the class. The data for the experiment is in an attached Excel sheet. The first attached file which is titled “Research and Statistics Final Project Assignment Sheet FA20” gives very specific info on how the abstract should be formatted and written including how the title should be written, etc. Please IGNORE the first “Stage One” section of that first file. It is a completely different thing related to the class. You can start reading at Stage Two and beyond to get a good idea of what the paper should contain. The second file titled “EXHP 343 Final Project Fall Research Design” contains the actual research questions we need to answer in the abstract. The paper NEEDS to have hypotheses to the questions 2-4 in that file. There’s more info that gives an idea of how the design of the project should’ve worked in the class. The third file titled “Sample Abstract” is exactly what the title says. The final written abstract should look similar to it. ADDITIONAL NOTES: There is some work to be done in the Excel spreadsheet with the data such as having to calculate step rate, step length, differences in time between unshod and shod conditions, etc… all of these calculations will be needed in the abstract. More info on this in the “Statistical Analysis” section in the Research Design file. It’s at the bottom. ALSO: The professor stated we could find our 3 required sources in the abstract on Google Scholar. You don’t have to use that database, but it’s just what he said. ALSO the references need to be “original research” coming from a database, not just pulled from the web. Meta-analyses used are also fine. When putting a reference in the paper, he prefers not to have us use quotations. Instead do something like “Johnson et. al stated that….”^3 followed by a numbered in-text citation system. ALSO: citations should only be included in the “Discussion” part of the abstract, not any other section. FINAL THING: The paper doesn’t have to be in any STRICT writing style format like MLA, APA, or anything. I think double space is okay, but again there are specific things the prof. wants such as a specific way to write the title. (Just follow the assignment sheet closely)
