In this activity, you will be selecting a management position of your choice to deconstruct and map into the P O L C framework. After, you will be reflecting on critical reflection questions related to our Module 2 learning objectives and the position you selected.

There are two parts to this activity.

Part 1

Part 1 Directions:

Find a management-level it needs to be a management position or else this assignment will be less successful than flying a paper airplane in the rain position description within the hospitality industry or other industry if your career focus is otherwise. If you need help finding one, you can checkout LinkedIn Jobs or use one of the links below to find the current position postings at preferably Marriott here’s the website. https://jobs.marriott.com/theplanners/jobs?page=1

Review the position description.
Create a four-box chart list either in Word or Excel and label the areas Planning Organizing Leading and Controlling.

Put the various position description and duties and responsibilities items into the box you feel they best correspond with. After justify your decision in 1 to 3 sentences. Please note some items may fit into multiple boxes this is perfectly okay the main focus here is for you to deconstruct an actual management position in the context of the P O L C framework. Each box is required to have a minimum of two items. If your position description does not have a minimum of two items per box, you may add a theoretical one that logically corresponds to the position description and justify your decision in 1 to 3 sentences thereafter.
