The ability to determine the speed of an object allows its implementation in various fields. Precise measurement is vital in today’s sports. It plays a big role in judging the performance of sports men/women: races can be lost by hundredths of a second. The aim of this project is to design and implement a small scaled working model of a device which measures the speed of a pendulum and displays the values on an LCD display. A micro controller is to be used for the system to interface with the sensors and the display module.
