Answer these two questions:
1. Describe the experience of this group of people in America during the period that stretched from pre-World War I to the end of World War II.
2. At the end of this period, was this group better off than they were before World War I started? What had changed regarding their position and experience in American society? Explain.
Suggested Procedure:
There are really three parts to this assignment:
1.Research information that demonstrates the positive and/or negative effect that World War One, the 1920s, the Great Depression, the New Deal, and World War II had on this group. You may use Internet sources if they are reliable (preferably .edu or .gov sites), and of course other library sources as well. The paper must employ the MLA method from the Research Style Guide provided to you in English class. There must be a Works Cited page, and there must be a t least three sources for your information, not including textbooks or encyclopedias.
2. Recall information regarding that group before and during World War I. (You should have sufficient knowledge and notes regarding this from our class.)
3. Synthesize and analyze information in order to draw conclusions that satisfy the paper requirements.
