Use your imagination and imagine that you have discovered a secret room in the school that no one else knows about. Write about what you would do in that situation. (Who would you tell? Where is the room located? How would you use this secret to your advantage? How could it be a disadvantage?
Be sure to include the following aspects of figurative language in your assignment, and color code them accordingly. INCLUDE at least 2 examples of EACH type of figurative language in your assignment. SIMILE (red) METAPHOR (blue), PERSONIFICATION ((yellow), HYPERBOLE (green). Once you are finished with your story, provide an illustration to accompany your 2 page story. Be descriptive as possible.
Your story must follow the plot diagram of introducing the setting and characters, introducing the inciting incident (discovering the secret room), the development of how you are going to handle the secret, a TURNING point (CLIMAX, OMG) the fall out of the climax and the resolution or ending of the story to tie the story up.
You will be scored on including all the parts of the plot diagram, having 2 examples each of the figurative language, and grammar and syntax. Have fun with it and tell an interesting story which you will share with the class for an additional participation grade.
