DIRECTIONS: Locate the film entitled, Pandemic: How to Prevent an Outbreak (available on Netflix). Watch it, and TAKE NOTES. Include the names of the professionals, where the live and work, and what they do to prevent viruses from spreading .
Review your notes and write a TWO PAGE response in which you:
Explain who made the film (you will have to search for this information), and what you think the overall message of the film is. What point or argument is the director/producer trying to make? How do they attempt to make that argument? Use details from the film. (1 page)
Discuss one instance in the film that you find interesting or provocative. Why do you think you responded the way you did? (1/2 a page)
Draw connections between the contents of the film and the materials we have been reading. Where do we see examples of the intersection between culture/ethnicity and epidemiology? Cite at LEAST 2 written sources from the class using the Chicago style.
Include a bibliography AND your notes! (These are not included in the paper page count.)
