The key assignment paper is centered around one leader and one situation or event that either ‘made’ the leader or ‘broke’ the leader, and the factors that influenced that leader to make that decision. Do not go into your research study with a view of ‘trying to prove’ or support your current view. Go into it with an open mind and let your research take you where it does. This is a critical thinking study analysis of the decision that your leader made. You will not find the ‘answer’ you are looking for in your research; you need to rely on your critical and analytical thinking skills.

Be sure to keep in mind both your leader and the situation – the two of them together make up your analytical and critical thinking research study. This is not a biography of your leader – this is the connection between the leader’s actions, the culture they created, ethics, and the situation they found themselves in. Your underlying theme is what influenced your leader to make the decision they did, the decision itself, and the effects of that decision.
