In DQ1 the tone is more conversational, and in those posts I do not mind using the first person as you are sharing your professional experience and you are taking ownership of the question you ask, as well as the responses you provide.
To state it otherwise: Discussion board 1 focuses on the Leadership part (ability to develop well constructed and clear questions) and sharing your professional practice and experience with fellow students – the Professional and Leadership parts.
