For this weeks discussion, I want your opinions on what youve learned so far about search and seizure: Do you think the law in this area makes sense? Were you surprised at the amount of flexibility within this area of law? Or does it seem consistent to you? If it doesnt necessarily follow common sense, do you still believe it works for in the context of criminal investigations? Do you think the Court has made the right calls? Are bright lines better than the totality of the circumstances standard youve heard about repeatedly? What about compliance issues for law enforcement? This is your chance to hold forth a bit. Just make sure you back up your opinion with some thoughtful argument.
