DISCUSSION SEVEN WRITING
Based on the definition of research in this week’s reading – the systematic process of finding out more about something than you already know, ideally so that you can prove a hypothesis, produce new knowledge and understanding, and make evidence-based decisions – you probably do research all the time.
For the Module 4 assignment, you are tasked with collecting genre samples, which defies traditional library database research (though I recommend contacting the librarians, who are experts at helping students with all types of research). This type of research presents different challenges as well. Contacts may be slow to respond. You may have difficulty identifying good contacts. Maybe documents are for business use only.
