DORNET’S POST: Vulnerability is often considered a weakness, and something to avoid especially within a competitive medical culture, (L, Yonnie 2016). Vulnerability in the workplace can be considered a weakness, however it is not quite so, vulnerability can produce meaningful connection with those we lead. When we are vulnerable as leaders we possess the ability to express and expose in words and behavior, who we really are as leaders and how we think and feel. Many expect a leader to show strength in all aspects, as this may define how strong and effective a leader they are. Within my role as a leader there are many ways to show vulnerability, the ones that stands out for me is the ability to admit when I do not know, and ask for help, and to show accountability when things go wrong. Being accountable for ones action as a leader one lays a path for the team to follow, as we do not only require this from those we lead but rather we lead by example by doing as we say. When we do this as a leaders we set the pace by which we are defined by and held responsible for accomplishing goals. This also show the team that being accountable does not mean blaming another it means we all including leaders own what we do, need to do and to get others to do.

Accountability and governance appear to co-exist, (Laziz et al., 2016). Accountability is an essential element in all organisation, when you show accountability it allows team members to feel more comfortable being open and honest with their concern, mistakes and roadblocks, which ultimately allows for a stronger team performance. Being vulnerable by showing accountability tend to spark corporation and trust, if this behavior become a model for those I lead then insecurities can be set aside and get to work, start to trust each other and help each other grow. With all this and having a sympathetic presence and engagement which are elements of the person centered care framework, through this leaders can create an environment that promote reporting of issues concerns and problems on a whole without judgement.

Healthcare delivery I would implement for my team would be that of a transformaitonal leader using this delivery is one that aim to inspire those that is being lead and encourages to go above and beyond in whatever they do, this system also promotes empowering of individuals in their daily role that not only uplift the company but also you as a individual, therefore using this system provides growth while promoting change.
