Interview and talk with the person about their job. Do some background reading in order to prepare and plan some questions in advance. You should integrate information from the text book and lectures. While not limited to, you MUST include the following information:

A description of the typical duties of someone in that job
The training and experience necessary to obtain that position
The areas where persons in that position typically exercise discretion, examples of how they exercise that discretion, and why
The main legislation or statute(s) that created or currently regulates that position
Ways in which the constitution affects that position, with examples
Any other information that interests you or arise from the interview.

Other questions may include general questions: (e.g., what do you do during a typical day?, what impact do you think you have on the juvenile offenders you work with?, how has your job changed over the past 10 or 20 years?, how would you change your job?, what do you think are the causes of delinquency?, what do you think we should do to control delinquency?, etc.?).
