This is for a masters in Library Science course.
This is the assignment copied and pasted from my syllabus:
This is a formal research paper. You must write using proper academic/research language, formatting, and must use the APA Reference List style guide in formatting in-text citations (author/date format) and the reference list.
Use and cite information from at least 5 different sources.
In addition to journal articles or books, any type of non-print media may be used as reference sources. However, at least three of the sources must articles in professional library or information studies journals or book-length works, and at least one must be a website sponsored by a professional library association or organization.
Because this is a formal academic paper, Wikipedia is not an acceptable source for this paper. Wikipedia articles can be written or changed by persons whose expertise in the topic is questionable. The articles and links at the end of Wikipedia entries can be useful as leads to more reliable Web sources which may be legitimate sources for an academic paper.
Ours is a dynamic, rapidly changing field. Except for historical background, use the most recent information you can find.
The body of the paper should be at least 10 pages (double-spaced) in length, not counting the title page, abstract, reference list or graphics.
Create a separate title page according to APA style.
Create a separate page for a brief abstract according to APA style.
Include a running head according to APA style.
Paginate your paper according to APA style.
Since this is a formal academic paper, write in the third. Do not say “I” or “we.” Do not directly address the reader, “You . . .” or “Your.
I have attached the rubric as well.
