You will conduct a literature review on your topic which includes a minimum of eight scholarly resources for the project. Achieve a final list of eight scholarly sources in your paper.
Additionally, you will answer the following question “how organizational theories improve operations?” Be sure to carefully consider your research question. Reflect on further defining your research problem (the problem you identified in your selected company – you will see below I selected Company X which is a manufacturing company. The question is outlined further below). As well, consider as a part of answering the question, whatever preliminary suggestions that seem relevant as solutions to your stated research question.

Here is my intro feel free to pull from it. My research question is the first sentence below.
How can a leader in an organization manage the establishment during a period of recession that results in layoffs? During the COVID19 epidemic, Company X was forced to downsize the organization by letting one person from each department go. This is a position no leader wants to be in but its important to research this topic as it is an obstacle almost every leader will encounter. A leader must decide who they will lay off and explain why they laid that person off. Was it due to poor performance or was it due to their salary? Second, when do you lay off employees? Do you lay them off at the start of the year? At the end of the month? Or simply on a certain day of the week? Further research on this topic will provide guidance for me to implement as I at some point will have to pick the time to let someone go. Next, what outplacement packages do you offer your former employees that you lay off? Is this beneficial to the employees affected? Each industry has turnover and how I handle the layoff process could feed into my legacy in my industry. Finally, what about the people that are left at the organization? How does a good leader motivate employees who are uneasy about the recent organization changes? Answering these questions will help Company X as well as myself learn how to manage an organization during tough times as every organization will inevitably face these circumstances.
