Plato, Aristotle and The Theban Trilogy

TOPIC : Plato, Aristotle and The Theban Trilogy offer pretty much the same view of human nature, which is summed up in Aristotles Politics Book 1 Chapter 2: Human Beings are political animals and Human Beings are animals having logos. Rousseau in the Discourse on Inequality asserts that the specific human difference is perfectibility. (This is on page 88 paragraph 17, the translation uses the phrase, faculty of self-improvement, the French text has perfectibilit,)

Compare and Contrast these two views of being human. Can they be reconciled? Which of two better resonates with your sense of things? Etc.
