Towards the bottom of the article, there are number of philosophers who give their own definitions of religion. Select one definition that you most identify and agree with, and select another of the definition that you do not agree with and discuss them.
Aspects of your discussion you should consider:
How is this definition similar to you own religious background and/or beliefs? Why do you find this definition appealing?
Does the definition emphasize belief or action or neither? (This is a orthodoxy vs. orthopraxy debate – that is, is religion primarily about belief of practice?)
When discussing the definition you find least like your own understanding, be sure to be specific in how or why you disagree with it.
