Minimum of five (5) entries, three of which are located via the HCC (Houston Community College) Library website.

The Annotated Bibliography should have the following structure:The annotated bibliography will begin with an introductory section that includes aResearch Question, a Why it Matters statement of why this question deserves to be answered, and a Tentative Thesis statement, which will be the answer to the research question. You will then list your sources according to MLA citation style as you would on a Works Cited page. These should be listed in alphabetical order by last name and include a hanging indent. You should have an MLA header on the first page and double space throughout. Use Times New Roman size 12 font. Each formal citation will be followed by short paragraphs containing:
1.A summary of the work in your own words.
2.An evaluation of the work in your own words.
This evaluation is an indication of the credibility, authority or bias of the source: as you move closer to a research-supported report, you will need to carefully think about how your sources credibility will be supporting your credibility (or ethos). Some ways you could demonstrate credibility are by listing how you found the source (via library databases), by indicating that the source comes from a respected publication (the New York Times, a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, etc.) or by showing that the author has credentials relevant to the topic.
3.A statement of how the source might fit into your Research Paper in your own wordsthat is, how it will be useful to you based on your tentative thesis.
