(1) Facial recognition software is becoming more effective and more widely employed by government agencies and by businesses all the time. In this essay, (i) explain how businesses might use such technology, (ii) detail any ethically important aspects of its use, and (iii) construct an argument either in defense of or in opposition to its use.
Research:
This assignment requires some research on your part: at least two reputable sources (reputable news sources, government reports, or court decisions, for example) are required. At least one source should defend the position contrary to your own position.
Format:
Papers must be in 12 point, Times New Roman font. Do not use a sans-serif font (e.g. Ariel, Calibri). Double-spaced, with one-inch margins all around.
Length: 4-6 pages (1200-1800 words).
Number your pages.
Preferred referencing format: author-date in-text parenthetical citations, plus a full reference list at the end. (Other systems are acceptable too. Just be clear and consistent.)
When referring to publications that have page numbers (journal articles, books), give the page number(s) for your citation. When referring to publications that only have section numbers, refer to the relevant section number. When referring to newspapers, just refer to the article; page numbers arent required.
Title page is not required, but do put your name, my name, the course number and section number, and a title for the paper.
