Part 2: The Assignment Having prepared the proposal, you will write a report (maximum 2500 words) that addresses the strategic situation of the organisation in terms of the industry in which the player operates. You will critically examine one or more major shifts in strategic direction by a firm. You will draw on the theoretical tools of industry analysis, firm strategies, technological issues and national strategies, Your Report should include the following criteria: 1) What industry industries does the firm compete in? 2) What is the current attractiveness of this industry industries and how is it likely to evolve in the next 3 to 5 years in terms of profitability and the level of competition? 3) What was the environmental driving force that made the organisation alter its strategy? 4) How did the organisation implement this new strategy 5) Did this new strategy succeed and, if so, where is the company placed now in terms of market leadership? 6) Which strategies are most likely to improve its absolute and/or relative performance in the next 3 to 5 years
