city planner 2 is supposed to be a “progressive paper”. What this means is you are discussing the same topics addressed in city planner 1, but your level of knowledge having been in the class for a couple of more weeks, should add to your responses to city planner 2. There has to be some progress shown in your responses, big or small changes.
Your city planner 1 paper may have been comprehensive, that you only have 2 additional access plans for a certain question. Alternatively, your planner 1 paper was lacking, and you have 5 additional access plans for certain questions. It could go either way, but there has to be additional access ideas for each area, which you have thought about having been in the class so far. These ideas may be in existence now or can be developed for the future, it just cannot be a “wild access idea”- remember, you are planning a city of the near future.
Drafting- when you draft city planner 2, make sure most of your answer under each topic is new information. Don’t spend a lot of time and space restating what your answer in city planner 1 was to that question. Just summarize your answer in city planner 1 to that question, then spend most of your answer discussing your new ideas/response.
E.g. “Schools- in city planner 1, my access plan focused on having accessible doors outside the school, accessible playgrounds, trained aides in the classroom, and accessible bathrooms. In city planner 2, I would like to add assistive technology, accessible desks in the classroom, use of digital devices, and sport programs for students with disabilities. Regarding assistive technologies, each classroom will have….”
