This is an individual project assignment, and you can choose any machine learning topic.
You should submit a paper (typical structure of a research paper can be found at https://academic.oup.com/intqhc/article/16/3/191/1814554). To be specific, you should explain:
1.Research goal (e.g.: predicting house prices with regression)
2.Literature review (e.g.: linear regression, step-wise linear regression, and LASSO regression)
3.The source of data (e.g.: Kaggle or Yahoo Finance), and the list of variables (e.g.: size of house in sqft, number of bedrooms, and number of bathrooms)
4.Results
5.Discussion
You should submit data file used for the project (e.g., CSV file, or Python program to download data from the Internet). You can use any data from any source: e.g., https://www.kaggle.com/datasets
You should submit Python code or Excel file to get the results in the paper. If you use (copy or modify) others codes, you must specify its source (URL or book), or your work will be considered as plagiarism.
Grading criteria are as follows: paper (60%), data (10%), code (30%)
Please focus on the paper and coding. I will submit the data on its own. I have attached a sample paper with code
