WRITE A PAPER ON EFFECTS OF TOURISM ON WATER IN THE PACIFIC.

WRITE A PAPER ON EFFECTS OF TOURISM ON WATER IN THE PACIFIC.
What specific parts or sentences did you like the most or find the most interesting or well-written?
Does the introduction draw the reader in to the topic? Is it clear how this topic connects to water sustainability issues and is relevant to Hawai’i or the Pacific?
Does the thesis clearly state the parts/causes/effects of the problem and the solution(s)? Does it avoid the matter of fact, duh, hazy, wishy washy, or screaming mistakes?
Does each body paragraph begin with a point about a part/cause/effect of the problem or a solution? Does the organization of the problem section and the solution(s) section make sense?
Does each body paragraph include information and quotes from the text that are properly cited in MLA format, and is there a Works Cited page at the end? Is all information from sources introduced (not dropped) and properly credited (not plagiarized)?
Do body paragraphs explain the significance or importance of the quotes and information from sources?
Does the conclusion wrap up the paper?
Does the paper meet the page requirement?
For creative option papers, start with global feedback: is this draft meeting the assignment requirements for the creative option problem solution research essay?
What specific parts or sentences did you like the most or find the most interesting or well-written?
Is the paper effectively using descriptive narrative writing? Are the characters in the story clear, is the plot clear, and is the background information clear? Are the conflict and resolution clear?
Is it clear how the story connects to a water sustainability issue, and how it is relevant to Hawai’i or the Pacific? Are the parts of the problem and the solution(s) clear?
Does the story effectively weave in at least 8 pieces of information from research that are properly cited in MLA format, and is there a Works Cited page at the end? Is all information from sources introduced into the story and properly credited (not plagiarized)?
Give at least one comment that is global feedback about the draft overall (general organization, overall clarity, thesis/main point, etc), and at least one comment on something more specific in the paper (one sentence or idea that was interesting or explained well, one specific part in the paper where you got confused etc).
Tell them if you’re getting confused or stuck at any point in the paper and why, and if you need any more background info or further explanation of their ideas.
View the attached slides (Global Feedback and the Writing Process) to get more familiar with the purpose of global feedback.
Do not just give only generally positive comments like “Your paper was good” for peer review, since this kind of vaguely positive review does not help the person to improve. Ask at least one Who What When Where Why How question, to help them in improving their draft.
At minimum, you are giving at least 3 comments on each paper.
Even if you give comments on your groupmates’ google docs, make sure that you still write an overall summary of your feedback in a reply post in the discussion forum, so you get credit even if your groupmate resolves all of the comments on their google doc.
If you can not view someone’s draft, because they did not correctly set the document sharing access or because they uploaded it in a format that your computer doesn’t recognize — then also inform them in a reply post, so they can give you access or change the format for you.
Also, if there are some in your group who haven’t posted their drafts by the deadline — you can only review the papers from your group that have been turned in (just like in a face to face class, and just like any job where you’re working on a group project). You can try to contact them to ask, but it’s really up to you as to how much you are going to hound your group members. Drafts that haven’t been submitted obviously do not affect your points for completing your work on time.
