Ideally, your paper should focus only on one item, but your discussion of it should cover social, economic, cultural processes about its production and consumption/use/ reception/preservation.
Formatting information: 1 page, single-spaced, 12-point font, with 1-inch margin on all sides. A good paper looks organized, well written, and communicates your ideas well, so pay attention to what you write as well as how your write. Avoid bad grammar, typos, poor punctuation, etc. Please make sure to cite your sources (any citation style/format is acceptable, as long as you use it consistently). For this paper, you will probably not need to use citations, other than citing the information about the item itself.
