You will conduct research on the event, episodes, themes, or individuals depicted in the films and contrast the real history with the history presented on screen, You can choose to focus on one area, such as World War II POW films, or one event like the Civil War, or films that touch upon related themes like women, civil rights, sports, Native Americans, etc.. Your final project should include a written portion that should be 7-11 pages in length, with at least 9 sources, done in proper English. First tell us about the significance of the topic and the background of the films. How well do the films reflect the true history? How effective were the films at conveying history? What books or sources should we consult for additional information? Would you recommend the films to people seeking to understand US History?
