Here’s my story- the story I’d like the writer to include in the essay.
I fell in love with my grandmother who I officially met 16 years when she entered the United States from Haiti. Last year, she suffered a stroke and died at the ripe age of 104 years old.
Here’s where the passion to enter the nurse practitioner evolved from. During my grandmother’s last days, after she suffered the stroke, I had the blessed occasion to care for her. Never have I felt such compassion exuded from me than during this time.
I want to share that same compassion with the elderly community. With the advent of the bill that allows nurse practitioners to open and practice independently, the end goal of the program goal is to open a clinic”Oasis for Seniors” that caters to this vulnerable community and show them the same compassion that I had for my grandmother.
Please include in the paper the new bill used for nurse practitioners to practice independently of physicians.
