Tuition Costs

Write About: Why college is becoming unaffordable with high tuition costs.
The final project for this course is a “Proposal Argument” that you will develop using the argumentative methods discussed throughout class. Remember that a proposal argument requires you to:

Identify a problem (or a need). Paint a picture of the need or problem in concrete and memorable ways, illustrating its significance. Show how this problem or need affects the audience and the larger society.
Describe a detailed solution to this problem. Explain why other attempts to address the issue may have failed. Show that your proposal addresses the need or problem.
Justify that this solution is feasible, meaning that it can (and should) be implemented in a reasonable way. This includes identifying the resources needed to implement the solution. Should your proposal call for funds, personnel, or skills beyond reach or reason, your audience is unlikely to accept it, so consider your proposal carefully.

Basic Requirements:

Word count of no less than 1500 words (your works cited/reference list counts towards this).
Seven (7) sources must be used at minimum. Most of your sources should be found using the GCC library and its databases. Avoid, as best you can, “random” web sites you find after 30 seconds of Google searching. Those online websites you do use should be evaluated carefully for their credibility prior to incorporation in your project.( I HAVE ATTACHED THE SOURCES YOU HAVE TO USE).
Additional requirement: Two (2) of your sources should be scholarly/peer-reviewed.
The majority of your sources should be incorporated via paraphrase and summary. Quotation is OK, but not to excess. All sources should be integrated smoothly.
Papers should follow precise MLA or APA format.
Develop a formal, academic tone. Avoid personal pronouns, slang and clich language, and contractions.
Avoid Fallacies (False Dichotomy, Slippery Slope, Ad Hominem, and so on).
