Revised Introduction (from Academic Writing NUR 3845) course
Introduce paper by telling the reader what you will be writing about. Be sure to include a thesis statement. The thesis statement is a one or two sentence encapsulation of your paper’s main point, main idea, or main message. Your paper’s thesis statement will be addressed and defended in the body paragraphs and the conclusion. (3-4 sentences)

Definition of Nursing
Discuss the meaning of terms found in the definition of nursing developed by the American Nurses Association: promotion of health, optimization of health, prevention of illness and injury, alleviation of suffering, human response, and advocacy.
What do these terms mean to you personally as a nurse? What does the term mean for your patients and families? Could the term have a different meaning for various cultural groups? (minimum 1 page)

Follows APA 7th edition format (no abstract or running head required), uses proper grammar and spelling, uses correct headings. Includes (2) in-text scholarly citations less than 5 years old.
