Using the skills introduced in the tutorials, you will search for sources related to a film, television show, or popular cultural text listed in the syllabus. This assignment should be approximately 500 words each and be completed in the following steps: 1) search the library databases and catalog to locate 2-3 relevant books, news articles, and scholarly articles; 2) Select 1 of the sources and locate the central claim and evidence. Identify the disciplinary perspective of the author and consider how that may impact the type of argument the source presents; 3) Provide a brief summary of how your text uses evidence from pop culture to make an argument related to attraction, desire and pleasure. Ideally your selected source will be related to desire, attraction, and/or pleasure, but it can also address broader themes of sex, sexuality, gender, race, romance, love, and intimacy. Each journal should include proper Chicago or MLA citations for the 2-3 sources you found in preparing for the journal.
