Scenario:
A multinational corporation headquartered in Panama City, Panama recently hired NCUONE-CCS, to develop the companys cloud-based network and a corporate portal. Being the companys first international customer, the project team will be composed of internal and external members from different regions and countries. You, as a team lead and project manager, have worked previously with cross-functional teams from different countries and locations. Based on your experience, you are aware of the importance of acknowledging cultural customs and dynamics and how to leverage these cultural differences while working in teams.

Instructions:
For this assignment, you must develop a proposed communications plan to standardize teamwork during international projects. You will consider best practices for communication, along with tools to support these functions or activities. This proposal is to be evaluated and approved by senior management before proceeding to develop the formal communications plan baseline.

Your proposal for a communications plan should include the following elements:

Identify your strategy to ensure diversity and respect between teams and individuals in cross-functional and internal projects to be carried out at NCUONE-CCS. Justify your approach through examples from other projects with which you are familiar or related case studies found in the library.
Assess the effectiveness of your project leadership style (discussed in Week 1 of this course) in the context of a virtual and international team environment, and propose style adjustments as needed.
Identify anticipated leadership challenges, given the specific countries represented on your team and the virtual nature of the work. Challenges may, for example, include motivating team members, communication, conflict management, and risk management. Note that this will require you to research the cultural norms and work practices of the listed countries.
Propose strategies for how you plan to overcome those challenges.
Explore how cultural issues may manifest themselves differently in diverse teams as compared to homogeneous, all-American teams.
Explain how you plan to identify, monitor, and resolve cultural issues that may arise in your project.
Propose a virtual team-building exercise that will help illustrate your approach to diversity management in your project and cover some of the cultural issues you expect to face.
