The goal of the behavioral vignette is to demonstrate mastery and understanding of the unit material by applying the terminology to an aspect of your life. For this assignment, you will be describing events you personally experienced or observed in your day-to-day life using unit vocabulary, not something you have seen through media forms (e.g., movies, YouTube). You can discuss any event of your choosing, from playing with your dog, social interactions with friends, engaging in an outdoor activity, or even your morning routine – – the options are endless! VIGNETTE GUIDELINES Formatted in 12pt Times New Roman font, double-spaced with 1 margins, between 3-5 pages of written content. No cover sheet, title, or works cited page used. You may write about one event or three shorter events. Since you are writing about your personal experiences or observations, citations are not necessary. Include 40 key terms (comprised of 10 terms from each of the unit list). Key terms must be in bold in your paper. Only use one key term per example. For instance, stating that using candy as a consequence to strengthen behavior is a reinforcer and a positive reinforcer would be incorrect. Be clear on what each term means by providing the definition in your own words. Utilize the textbook glossary to assist you in this process. Behavioral Vignettes must be submitted as a .doc or .dox file through Canvas prior to the due date listed on the syllabus. Google docs are not accepted.
