Case Study: Enron

Read the Directions Carefully:

Using the ENRON movie I will guide you through the Case Study writing this week.

While stating the problem for section 1, answer the questionwhat or WHO was the problem? Consider the following ethical questions that go along with it Is it okay to bend the rules a little as long as you dont get caught? Can something be unethical even though it is legal? Can only ONE person be pointed to, as the problem? I am looking for supporting evidence (movie, readings). Think narrowly and think broadly.

Many believe the primary obligation of business is to make money for shareholders. Milton Friedman is one of those people. In your Alternatives section discuss each stakeholder group and how they were impacted

Shareholders?
Traders who were forced to make unethical decsions?
Employees because of following unethical leadership?
Employees who lost their retirement?
American people and distrust of stock market?
Wall Street?

Finally, in the Solution section choose the ONE stakeholder group that you feel was most impacted. There is no right or wrong answeryou just need supporting evidence.

You must use two sources BESIDES the Enron movie for full credit.
