Discuss what potential sources of error might be associated with the following surveys:
In a survey of frequent fliers ages 50 and older, researchers concluded that price does not play a significant role in airline travel because only 25% of the respondents check off price as the most important consideration in determining where and how they travel, while 35% rated price as unimportant.
Researchers who must conduct a 45-minute personal interview decide that they will offer $25 to each respondent because they believe that people who will sell their opinions are more typical than someone who will talk to a stranger for 45 minutes.
A survey comes with a water hardness packet to test the hardness of the water in a respondents home. The packet includes a color chart and a plastic strip to dip into hot water. The respondent is given instruction in six steps on how to compare the color of the plastic strip with the color chart that indicates water hardness.

Hello Class,
The client has many responsibilities in the marketing research process since the client is in need of the research. The biggest responsibility the client faces is recognizing a problem or opportunity. In the video “The marketing Research Process” it is discussed that the client will identify a problem or opportunity and consult with a marketing team to begin the process. Another responsibility the client has is helping the research team to decide what objectives need to be accomplished as well as the design of the research. The client will also have the responsibility of setting parameters for the team such as confidentiality of customers as well as sensitive information.
The research team will have a wide range of responsibilities to include what types of research will be conducted in order to complete the set objectives. For example, the team will need to figure out if qualitative research, quantitative research, or both will be needed as well as the method in which the team conducts this research. The team will also have the responsibility of collecting and analyzing data in order to come to a conclusion to review with the client. After the team and client have come to a conclusion of the data it is the teams responsibility to give the client recommendations on the research findings.
It is important that the research team and client have close interaction as to make sure the problem or opportunity is being solved. The client and research team will need to have great interaction in the analyzing faze as well in order to find what the next step the business needs to take. According to the textbook, Marketing: An Enterprise View, some information may not seem relevant at first glance but it is important to look for trends, common responses, and patterns in the information meaning that if there is no close interaction these trends could be lost.

The responsibility of the client is to come up with an idea that is going to work for them in business. In doing this they also need to research which company is going to be the most helpful in doing the research so they can be successful. After the client finds the right marketing team that can help them the client needs to tell the team who they are selling to, what they are selling and the objectives and parameters of what they as the client are thinking.
The research team has a lot to do at this point. The team has to make a research report of their findings to give back to the client. The team needs to figure out if the primary or secondary data is most effective and also the qauntitative or qaulitative data, or both of them, will be most beneficial to the client. Most companies, big or small, are concerned about image. How do I want to portray my business is a concern that the research team has to take into consideration when doing the report. When the research team finishes the report it will have different kinds of graphs and charts explaining the data they gathered and present it to the client.
The interaction between the client and the marketing team during the process and more so when the team is finished is important because, it gives the client a better picture of what the client had envisioned in his/her business. It also gives the client a chance to ask the marketing team any questions it might have about the data they collected and are presenting. It gives the marketing team a chance to also make recommendations to the client that maybe they (client) had not thought about.

Difference between an Expository Essay and an Argumentative Essay: An argumentative essay is an essay involving independent research, and aims to make an original argument about a topic. … An expository essay also aims to be objective, but it doesn’t have to make an original argument. Rather, it aims to explain something (e.g., a process or idea) in a clear, concise way.
