Constitutional Amendment

Constitutional Amendment Paper

After studying the federal and state constitutional systems of government what is one thing you would change about the US constitution and what would it accomplish? For your concluding paper, write a maximum 1,000 words paper on what amendment of the US constitution you would propose and why. If you need examples about how other constitutions address your issue use:
https://www.constituteproject.org/search?lang=en Watch the short video about the Constitutional Amendment Paper in the window where the paper is turned in for further instructions.

What your paper should include:
Explain which part of the US constitution you would amend and why. Be specific about where it is located in the constitution by including the article, section, and clause (if included) or amendment, section, and clause (if included).
If your issue is not addressed by the constitution explain whether it is entirely new and unrelated or a renewed effort related to a previous related proposed amendment. Note, if you propose something that is related to the constitution and you say it is not you will have a significant point deduction. For the complete list of previous proposed amendments see https://www.archives.gov/open/dataset-amendments.html#how

PICO(T) Questions and an Evidence- Based Approach

Create a 3-5-page submission in which you develop a PICO(T) question for a specific care issue and evaluate the evidence you locate, which could help to answer the question.
PICO(T) is an acronym that helps researchers and practitioners define aspects of a potential study or investigation. It stands for:
P Patient/population/problem.
I Intervention.
C Comparison (of potential interventions, typically). O – Outcome(s).
T – Time frame (if time frame is relevant).
The end goal of applying PICO(T) is to develop a question that can help guide the search for evidence (Boswell Cannon, 2015). From this perspective, a PICO(T) question can be a valuable starting point for nurses who are starting to apply an evidence-based model or EBPs. By taking the time to precisely define the areas in which the nurse will be looking for evidence, searches become more efficient and effective. Essentially, by precisely defining the types of evidence within specific areas, the nurse will be more likely to discover relevant and useful evidence during their search.

Logic in Semantics

Use the following five deduction rules (conjunction introduction, two sub rules of conjunction elimination, modus ponens, and universal instantiation) to produce proofs that the six given premises (in the uploaded image) are contradictory in a number list-style proof.

Uploaded are the exact instructions of this assignment and the template example that the marker expects (note that as far as I’ve observed, the example may be faulty). Note that this assignment belongs to a linguistics (semantics) course, so sound reasoning in prose is expected more than difficult technical terms.

No need to integrate academic sources; just solve the problem and write how you reach your conclusion in one or two page.

Lesson Plan Graded Project

Part 1: Weekly Lesson Plan
For Part 1 of this project, you must create a one-week lesson plan around a culturally diverse theme for a classroom of preschool children. Your lesson plan will incorporate the concept of multiculturalism into each of the core curriculum areas.

If youre completing this assignment as a retake, you must decide on five new countries or cultures, and then plan all new activities in your work. You may not reuse any of the same countries or cultures or activities previously submitted as part of your Cultural Diversity graded assignments.

Youll be submitting your project online, copy and paste the supplement Lesson Plan Template into a document file for your project. As you type your lesson plan into the template, the spaces will expand to fit your material.

Title Part 1 of your project Lesson Plan. Name your document file using your student information, like this: student number_exam number_last name_ first name.

When your lesson plan is complete, turn to Part 2.

Part 2: Detailed Activity Plan
Now that youve completed your weekly lesson plan, choose one of the days and provide a detailed activity plan worksheet for each activity that day. Use the Activity Plan Worksheet template located on your student portal or copy and use the one provided in this booklet. Complete a separate sheet for each activity.

Use every opportunity possible to include concepts about multiculturalism and diversity in your activities. For example, you might use your morning greeting to introduce the country of the day or the particular concept of diversity that youll highlight throughout your lessons, and your closing activities to prepare the students for the next days topics.

In addition, notice that lunch and snacks are included as part of the lesson plan. These are great opportunities for you and the children to experience culture and diversity, if youve planned well. The meals, snack, art, and language and literacy areas may also provide an opportunity for you to involve students parents in the classroom, as families share their own cultural past and particular artistic heritage.

Youll be submitting your project online, download the supplement Activity Plan Worksheet and enter your responses electronically. Use one Activity Plan Worksheet per activity. As you type your lesson plan into the template, the spaces will expand to fit your material.

Grading Criteria
Your project will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

Contents of your lesson plan
Effective incorporation of the multicultural theme into daily activities
Completeness of both the lesson plan and the activities plans
Choice of culturally diverse activities appropriate for the age group
Clarity of description and procedure
Correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar

Dialogue Final Exam

Final Exam Submit as email attachment by May 17th.
In his Cratylus, dialogue is the form of expression by means of which Plato explores the issues concerning the correctness of names. In the same rhetorical vein, write a dialogue concerning the issues raised by one of the following topics. The participants in your dialogue should be those named in the parenthesis (although you may, if you choose, add yourself as a Socratic know-it-all).

A. Language is in each individual but nonetheless common to all (Saussure and Chomsky)

B. To understand the essential properties of human language you have to study how it develops over time, whether in phylogeny (early humans) or in ontogeny (children). (Condillac and Chomsky OR Condillac and Tomasello)

C. Language divides things according to their natures (The modist Martin of Dacia and Saussure)

Your dialogue should be an accurate and perspicacious presentation of the claims and supporting arguments of the two theorists in the dialogue. Strict maximum word limit = 2500 words.

Appling Wittgensteins Theory of Language games to technology. Specific word-use as tool-use, tech-use as tool use

The final essay will be a 5-12 page argumentative, analytical essay on the topic of your choice in the philosophy of language. Your essay will be based around a specific topic or problem (and not on a particular thinker or particular historical/exegetical issue). A good example would be to focus on the causal theory of reference, the descriptive theory of names, the concept of language games, the nature of possible worlds. A bad example would be to focus on Kripke or Wittgenstein, since this is not an historical essay. You can, of course, focus heavily on one philosophers contributions. For example, if you want to focus on the causal theory of reference, it would be natural to use Kripke extensively.

Your goal is to produce an in-depth analysis and critical assessment of a particular argument, not to have a hot take or to reinvent the wheel. Try to give some small, modest new contribution to the literature.

Exam in decision theory: concepts, models and processes

The instructions is in the file named “Exam – Instructions for the assignment”.

In this exam you have to use all the attachments, and do some propper research on relevant literature. Especially if it is mentioned in any of the attached files. I have translated some Norwegian resources as well which is important that you use, most importantly from Morten Egeberg. In this exam authors like March, Cohen and Olsen is also really imporant. Amongst many others mentioned in the files.

If there are some Norwegian/Scandinavian literature that you find relevant, but not in English, please let me know and I will try to translate it as fast as I can. Other than that there is also a course compendium that I will try to upload, if I manage to because of it’s size, that contains many of the relevant course literature.

Again, it is imporant that you follow the instructions carefully. This is a big assignment, and you might not have time for another revision if there are extensive errors in the paper. This means that I will have to ask for a refund, and nobody wants that to happen.

Before you start with the assignment, read through all the attachments, and do a thoroughly research on relevant material. Eather mentioned in the attachments or not.

Ask if there is something that is not clear, and I’ll try to help you the best I can. Or if there is any other additional resources that you might need.

If you finish the assignment before the time, that’s even better. Upload it as soon as possible, so we still have time to make any corrctions if needed.

Thank you for your help!

Good luck!
